Marker and Historical Plaque Descriptions and Mounting Methods

Bronze Grave Marker

The officially approved marker for the grave of a Colonial Dames XVII Century  member is available in 3" high and 6-3/4” high formats. Each bronze grave marker includes hidden mounting hardware for attaching to granite, marble or stone. Also available in Satin Brass Acrylic for attaching to Cremation Urns and Caskets in sizes from 3"high and 6-3/4" high.

National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century Bronze Grave Marker

Available exclusively from Classic Bronze Resources, this officially approved marker for the grave of a Colonial Dames XVII Century member comes in both 3" high and 6-3/4” high formats.  The bronze grave marker  is satin polished with royal blue highlights in the recessed areas, providing a rich jewelry-like appearance. Each bronze grave marker includes hidden mounting hardware for attaching to granite, marble or stone.  

 

Also available in Satin Brass Acrylic for attaching to Cremation Urns and Caskets in sizes from 3" high and 6-3/4" high. Each Satin Brass Acrylic insignia includes 3M-VHB high bonding tape for attachment to an urn or casket.

When placing an order, please include the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century Grave Marker Order Form that is available from the National Grave Marker Chairman, Sandra Wheeler Bullock. These grave markers are usually in stock and are shipped the following business day after payment has been received. There may be occasions where it may take up to 3 weeks to produce and ship, depending on demand.

Stake and Post Mounting Methods

Garden Stake – Type E

Garden Stakes are made of  5/16” thick  black anodized metal and are available for attaching to the back of plaques measuring up to 8” x 12”. Garden Stakes are 24” h and can be ordered as straight or with a 22½° bend.

Post Mount - Type F

Posts include black painted aluminum brackets that attach to the back of a plaque with machine screws. Aluminum square post bolts into the bracket at either a 45° or 90° angle. Posts measure 2” x 2” square and are 6' to 8' tall. Designed for plaques up 720 square inches (20”w x 36”h). Plaques that measure over 24” wide require two posts.

Type F Post Mount

Post Cap Mount - Type R

Cast as part of an aluminum or bronze plaque, the post cap mount is designed to fit on 1½”, 2” or 3” ID schedule 40 posts. Available on almost any custom plaque, single or

double-sided, up to 24” x 24”.

Square Post Side Mount

The square post side mount is meant to provide a free standing plaque mount for double sided plaques over 900 square inches (larger than 30” x 30”).
